I decided to do the Great North Run as a new challenge and in memory of a dear friend Elaine who sadly passed away this year. Elaine was only 60 years old and had battled with cancer and fought so very hard. Throughout she always remained strong and positive for everyone around her.Elaine got me into running and we used to run round the streets together, running to our weight classes and back!! She used to run in an old Bupa Great North Run T.shirt and she would be proud that I was doing this run. Elaine was a great friend to know and i will never forget her and the support she gave me. So I aim to do Elaine proud and complete the run and raise money for Cancer Research. Please help in any way you can, thank you.
