Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Having reached the milestone of 40 years old I wanted to celebrate, rather than comiserate, this with a challenge for myself. I had originally planned to run a marathon. But then I stumbled across 365Challenge and was totally inspired. Please do google this page after you have read my ditti - you too might be inspired!
I decided that my challenge would be to not only run 1 marathon but 36.5 marathons in 1 year - starting when I am 40. This is 956.3 miles, which injuries allowing I aim to round up to 1000 miles. Therefore I need to run 80 miles a month - quite a challenge!!
My aim is to raise £1000 for Cancer Research UK. Cancer is a horrible disease that has affected everyone in the UK either personally or through association, including myself and my family. Please support my challenge, if I can beat my target that would be fantastic.
Some people ask how much they should sponsor me, so I have decided to start a 1%ers club, if you sponsor me £10, you will be sponsoring me 1p per mile and I will add you to the 1%ers club - a very prestigious place to be :o)
I aim to keep a blog of my progress, including the marathon I intend to run in one go!! when I have chosen a suitably obscure one! Just follow me on facebook.
