I am sure that most of you know that following a nephrectomy for kidney cancer George now has to have dialysis 3 times a week. 

After 18 months of travelling to hospital, regardless of how he was feeling or how terrible the weather was, we are now lucky enough to have a setup at home. But our lives will never be the same and the retirement we had planned is not going to happen.

This year I am running the Great North Run to raise funds for Kidney Research because we never want anyone else to have to do this.
