Story
As you may know, I have Prostate Cancer. Stage 4. Inoperable. Incurable. That’s the bad news. The good news is that there are drugs that can keep the cancer at bay for many, many years if I am lucky - and more drugs coming along all the time.
I am not alone. 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime (and 1 in 4 black men).
I’m therefore taking on the Run 50 Miles in October challenge for PCR but with a twist. My ancient knees are unlikely to survive that many miles. I am going to row a similar distance.
The goal is to help in a tiny way, to change how many are blighted by this disease and help make a difference to men and their families who have been affected by prostate cancer.
Please support me during this challenge by donating what you can to Prostate Cancer Research. Whether you donate £5 or £50, you will be helping to make a change for men who have been impacted by prostate cancer.
Thank you for your support! 💙🧡
