Story
It’s now been a year since the pandemic hit and it’s impacted every single one of us. One of my aims during 2021 is to dedicate some of my time to support local charities who support Adults and Children through tough times. The first challenge is to be part of an 8 man team that will cycle virtually the equivalent distance from John O’Groats to Land’s End over 4 consecutive days. The challenge will take place over the weekend commencing Friday 26th March. The charity we are raising money for is the School of Hard Knocks (SOHK) which was established in 2012 and exists to empower and support both adults and children who are facing social inequality. Through the use of high-impact sport, tailored mentoring and by engendering an atmosphere of genuine acceptance, School of Hard Knocks enables individuals to fully realise their potential. Working across the UK in England, Scotland and Wales, SOHK delivers life-changing programmes and courses that have a long-term impact on participants mental and physical health. The School of Hard Knocks psychology is the key to the charity's success and is what makes SOHK unique. Understanding how we change behaviour is imperative for SOHK in continuing to do great and changing peoples lives

We teach responsibility, motivation, teamwork, respect and discipline - all of which allow individuals to take responsibility for their actions and context.
