Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I am taking part in the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon on the 5th of September 2010. The aim is to get as good a finish time as possible and raise loads of pennies for Cancer Research. I'm awaiting some physiotherapy for my busted up leg but in true "Cool Runnings" Style "I have to finish the race!"

I also took part in the 2008 and 2009 GSR and was thrilled that so many people were generous with their donations. Any donations that are made this year will be greatly appreciated and will be met with a big smootchie kiss.

I chose to fundraise for Cancer Research UK because someone very close to me suffered from the illness. I have seen first hand the physical and emotional effects that cancer had on her and the families and friends involved. She recovered through use of a relatively new treatment at the time. I hope that through groups like Cancer Reseach UK, more treatments like this can be developed.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now, my amigos!

When you are Cancer Research UK, You are Cancer Research UK 4 Life.
