Vancouver International Marathon · 5 May 2013 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

I'm doing the Vancouver Marathon on May 5th as a personal challenge but also to raise money for the Stroke Association.  This is my first marathon but the challenge of it is nothing compared to that my Dad faced following his Stroke in April 2011.  I didn't realise the impact a stroke can have on someone and their family until then and all the information and support they provide is why I want to support them.

Why Vancouver? I have family there, its different, and it has great scenery.  Oh, and its an excuse for a holiday....after the run.

If you would like to sponsor me I'd be very grateful, and it will help keep me going when I get into the unknown of 20+ miles.  Thanks
