Fundraising for Care of Police Survivors
Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our just giving page.
This will be my 4th UK Police Unity Tour and between Friday 26th July and Sunday 28th July 2019. Colleagues, friends, family and I will be cycling from Essex via Norfolk to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. The tour covers 250miles over the 4 days. The tour raises a huge amount of money for Care of Police Survivors (COPS) and concludes by joining the COPS survivors weekend/annual service of remembrance.
COPS is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of Police Officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty rebuild their shattered lives. The police service does not have the resources to maintain support for the families beyond the immediate aftermath of the death. This is where COPS comes in. This year I have the great honour of riding in the memory of PC Brian Lashmar of the MET who died on 24/01/1989.
