Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm riding 125 miles on 24 June to raise money for the Big Appeal by Nottingham Children's Hospital, a great cause. I had to have a lot of urgent eye treatment at the QMC earlier in the year and was grateful the NHS was there to help me when I needed it. Also, a close colleague of mine's mother featured strongly in the recent BBC The Hospital programme which was filmed at the QMC this year and I was struck by the difficult decisions hospital staff often have to make as a result of funding issues when people need care.
So I'd like to say thank you by raising funds to support this appeal, which aims to raise £4m to help young patients in need of specialist care at Nottingham's hospitals where much pioneering work is done, and to help a little with funding the great and often pioneering clinical work done here in Nottingham.
I hope you'll be able to make a donation (small or large - it all helps) to support the charity.
