Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It's a very special year for Rowan the son of my friend and colleague Steve Pethard. Rowan has finished his treatment for leukaemia and is cancer free! He recently rang the end of treatment bell at Great Ormond Street and is now very keen to raise as much money as he can for the hospital, by having the biggest Team ever taking part in the RBC Race for the Kids.
Rowan has endured a long and gruelling course of treatment to reach this milestone and will continue under the care of GOSH to overcome the effects of his chemotherapy. Without this hospital Rowan would not be as healthy as he is today and therefore wants to raise as much as possible to help other extremely sick children who are referred to Great Ormond Street.
This Charity provides all the facilities that the NHS doesn't. For example, new buildings, kids entertainment, play leaders and equipment, electronic games and iPads etc., the things that keep the children happy and occupied whilst receiving their treatment. Rowan's experience has kept him smiling throughout.
With your help and support, I would love to beat my previous fundraising record for the charity and to make this run with Rowan and the team the best yet to celebrate the achievement of Rowan, an extremely brave and remarkable young boy.
I would be grateful for any amount you can spare for the most amazing charity.
Many thanks
Paul
