We use the engaging sport of Triathlon to break down barriers and get kids active

Story

Having filmed and photographed the race every year I have decided its time for me to do an Ironman again. My dad is from Bolton so I spent a lot of my younger years here and it holds a special place in my heart. After the 2016 race I found out my dad has cancer - he is actually doing ok so I think now is a good a time as any for me to return to Ironman and have a go at Bolton.

I am raising money for the Triathlon Trust who as well as helping children get active are doing a great job of inspiring the younger generation into the sport of Triathlon. Any donations you can give to help them to do more of this will be greatly appreciated!

To add a bit of fun when you donate you can also have a go at guessing my finish time - when you donate you are given the option to leave a comment so just put in your guess and there will be a great prize for the person who gets the closest (I haven't decided on a prize yet but let me tell you it will be good - Something money can't buy and I suspect it will be triathlon related).

To help you here are my previous Ironman finish times:

Ironman Switzerland 2007 13:43:53 (Swim 1:22:34, Bike 6:56:08, Run 5:16:38)

Ironman UK 2007 13:27:55 (Swim 1:18:33, Bike 7:00:37, Run 4:59:27)

Challenge Roth 2010 - 13:13:40 (Swim 1:18:42, Bike 6:27:30, Run 5:18:12)

So get guessing - I wouldn't say I was in great shape but I would like to go quicker than I have before.....
