Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Rozyczka or "Rose" is 3 years old from Worksop near Nottingham. She was born premature at 31 weeks which caused some side effects. Her brain is damaged and she suffers from periventricular leukomalacia. She also can’t walk. Doctors can help her, but she needs an operation called selective dorsal rhizotomy.

SDR is an operation that would permanently reduce the spasticity in Rose's legs and allow the development of her muscles that were previously hindered due to the spasticity. It will ensure that she doesn't suffer with bone deformities and contractions when she is older, and allow her to experience greater opportunities in life. This operation will be funded by the nhs.

Rose will also need two years of intensive physiotherapy and specialist equipment to ensure that the operation is successful.

Please help Roza to take her First Steps to walk.

Thank you for all your help.
