Story

Why run the marathon?

A couple of years ago I decided I would run my first marathon when I turned 60, along with completing 59 other things in the year.

Why Alzheimer's Society?

The main reason, my Mother lived her final years with dementia, which opened my eyes to something I had no knowledge ofI was always grateful to my GP who wisely prepared me what the family future might look like.

When The FA chose Alzheimer's Society as their partner charity. They introduced a referral scheme, so that anyone linked to football can refer themselves or a loved one to Alzheimer's Society. I was keen to be a part of this and have since completed my referral training on behalf of Sussex County FA
