Story
My name is Paul and I’m doing my first ultra marathon The Shires & Spires on the 14th of May. I’m hoping doing this marathon help raise some money and much need awareness for the Kingsley Special Academy. My youngest grandson (Ethan) attends this school as he, like the other children are in need of that extra help and attention they would never receive elsewhere. Since he’s been attending he’s really flourished and began doing things that we were never sure he would be able to do. In honour of everything that school gives to the children I feel it would be perfect to help them raise money so they can continue to help the children grow beyond their perceived potential.
Here’s more about the academy:
Kingsley Special Academy is a school for primary aged children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities. We have 162 wonderful learners who attend our very special school. Many of our learners have complex sensory needs and require specialist intervention and support to maximise their availability for learning, including, specialist equipment and an immersive environment that enables engagement and stimulation. Like our pupils, we dream big, however we cannot fulfil this ambition alone. Our wonderful learners would be so very grateful for your help and support in reaching our target. If you are able to help, your donation would be incredibly welcome. Alternatively, please get in touch with the school if you would like to discuss this project with us, we would love to speak to you.Thank you.
