Story
When my son Ed was first born he was ill, really ill. He was transferred from Leighton in Crewe to Birmingham Children's hospital by ambulance. He was eventually diagnosed with a blood condition called Heriditary Spherocytosis which led to him having many blood transfusions until at the age of 3 he had his spleen removed (also at BCH).
This was the worst of days but the staff at BCH got us all through it. Since that day I said that if I were to do a marathon it would be for BCH. Supporting the staff and the hospital means that more kids and parents can get the brilliant levels of care that we had.
Ed is now a normal healthy young lad and I want to use this marathon to give something back to all at BCH.
Please, if you can, give generously!!
