Story
The Manchester Loves Ukraine fund gives you a chance to show YOUR support to Ukrainians arriving in Manchester. By donating here, you can be sure that your gift is going directly to help evacuees arriving in our city.Your gift will be shared with charities and community groups with huge experience of supporting new arrivals and Ukrainian communities on the ground in Manchester, so there will be no delays in setting up new organisations. These groups include Europia and Caritas Diocese of Salford, and more will be added shortly. They're using their wealth of experience to support Ukrainians being welcomed into Mancunians' homes.People have fled, often with just the clothes they're wearing and the traumas of leaving behind relatives and their homeland. There are urgent needs to be met, eg with practical advice, hardship relief and mental health support. Your gift will be used immediately, to offer the warmest possible welcome to our vulnerable guests. Thank you.
I plan to leave Manchester Town Hall on Saturday 2nd April and walk 81miles to Birmingham before walking the full 133 mile length of the Grand Union ship Canal to Brentford followed by a walk up to Tower Bridge before ending the walk at Buckingham Palace.
