Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I thought I had a story - on 13th June I had part of my knee replaced and on August 16th I will be swimming a relay across the 22 miles of the English Channel. But my situation  pales into insignificance alongside that of my team mate, Paula, who 20 years ago was knocked off her bike and paralysed. She is attempting to be the first person in history with a complete spinal cord injury to swim a relay across the Channel adhering to strict Channel rules.  I am privileged to be part of the team that will swim with her.  She is less than privileged to have me whingeing about my bad knee as part of her team.

We really want to make history and in so doing raise money for Aspire, the charity that helped her and that I am lucky enough to work for.  I know I ask for money every year, and it's always "the last time", but please indulge me and support this amazing and brave attempt.
