Hi, job done, I completed the marathon in 5 hours 7 minutes and 38 seconds....what a fantastic day. I am stunned by the amount of support that you have all given me. Together we have raised £1602 for Parkinson's UK, thank you all so much.

A big thank you to the Parkinson's UK events team, there support was fantastic around the course and the massage and hot food after the racehelped my very quick recovery, I was running again by Wednesday. Thank you.

A huge thank you to the support team.....Emily, Lauren, James, Pete, Jayne and Carol. You saw me 4 times, your supprt was great, I loved the banners.....Go Mr O!!!!! Carol I promise to some jobs round the house now!

21 April 2010 - Wow I am touched by the incredible support that I have been given for this event so far. Not long to go now to the big day, training is done and just waiting for the big day. Thank you all so much for your support. I am planning another video to let you all know how it goes! Paul

PS - late change of colour Parkinson DS have rebranded to Parkinsons UK - now a blue vest not pink!

My Dad has had Parkinson's Disease for a long time now, I have seen its development over the years and seen first hand what he and my Mum, his carer, have had to deal with. Running this marathon is for him, I am not able to help him much directly these days as he is bed ridden and communication is all but impossible. My determination to complete the marathon and raise money to help others with this disease is huge. Training throughout the winter I have experienced all of the extreme weather.......wind, rain, ice and loads of snow. I have loved it!! Really I have.

Each £15 that I can raise will pay for a Parkinson's Disease Nurse Specialist to spend an hour working with someone with Parkinson's.

My pictures remind me to keep living for today........because who knows what tomorrow will bring.
