Story
On Saturday 17th September 2022, I will be taking on the Great Hospital Hike in support of King's College Hospital Charity.
As most of you know just over a year ago this month I had a
stroke and was rushed to Kings College Hospital Denmark Hill. I spent just over a week in hospital and was left unable to walk unaided.
Having only recently returned to work full time I’ve nearly
made a near full recovery; walking came back within a few weeks with intensive physio and hydrotherapy with one of the remaining side effects being fatigue
which is improving on a weekly basis. I’m still not particularly great at
walking any sort of distance but have signed up for the Kings College Hospital Great Hospital Hike.
Its on Saturday 17th September and is an 18 mile
walk between Kings College Hospital Demark Hill to The Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley.
The NHS have provided the best care available even during Covid, as an in-patient at Kings and an out-patient at Eastbourne has been fantastic with so much support throughout the last year, so I’m raising money to give a little back
Hope you can support me in the challenge, every donation
will help support people when most needed. Every penny raised will make a world of difference in improving patient care.
