At 5:00pm on 1st June I'll be in Helmsley at the start line in of the Hardmoors 110. I'll be running in the event to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and in memory of my Dad who died from cancer last year.

The Hardmoors 110 is a 110 mile ultra marathon that follows the course of the Cleveland Way from Helmsley through the North Yourkshire Moors and along the coast to Filey. There is a time limit of 36 hours to travel the full length of the course on foot. The 110 miles includes 6000m of ascents and descents. To put that in perspective the Eiffel Tower's top observation deck is 273m high. So the Hardmoors 110 put simply entails covering 110 miles on uneven and unstable ground whilst going up and down the Eiffel Tower 22 times.
