We offer respite & palliative care to children, young people & their families

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I last ran the London Marathon in 2008 completing the course in 3hours 21 mins.

2012 & I have a ballot place to take part again. I have been taking part in a number of runs over the past 6 months up to half marathon distances and will be taking part in some more races in the forthcoming year including Preston Guild Marathon.

As the London Marathon is the most high profile of my races this is the only time I'm looking for sponsorship.

I have chosn to run for Derian House Childrens Hospice after following the story of a very brave 10 year old girl from Penwortham. Katy Holmes was cared for at Derian House before she sadly died in January 2012 from a brain tumour for which there was no cure.

Being a Dad to two girls myself, after following the story of brave Katy and living in such close proximity to the Holmes family has prompted me to choose to run for Derian House this year.

I'm sure you will agree its a very worthy cause.
