Last year you, my wonderful family and friends, helped me raise £4,200 . Can we beat that next week? 

Once again I’ll be sleeping “out” for the night. Lord’s cricket ground isn’t a doorway in Shepherd’s Bush or a railway arch near Waterloo but it will provide hard ground, a bit of shelter, be cold and maybe wet. 

This year I’m adding a bit more jeopardy. If I were really homeless I’d be walking all day not driving to the shelter. So on Monday I’ll walk from home to Lords. Four or five miles? We’d be used to that if  being homeless was our lot, what some  muppet shamelessly calls a lifestyle choice!!! 

Your contribution will help ScotsCare do its work at the brutal front line. 

I’ve lobbed in my winter fuel payment  This is a regressive benefit that goes equally to those who don’t need it as well as those who really desperately do. I don’t need mine  I hope some of you will consider doing the same.
