Game-a-thon: 12 hours · 31 January 2022 to 31 December 2022 ·

Every day seven young people hear the words you have cancer. Take on a sponsored 12-hour game-a-thon to make sure they're supported before, during and after their diagnosis.

Story

Every day seven young people are diagnosed with cancer. I'm taking on the 12 hour game-a-thon challenge to raise money to help support as many people suffering from this horrendous disease as possible. Gaming is a big part of our family life, we love nothing more than  playing Mario party or Brain quizzes with the kids, but gaming can also give people a much needed release, particularly for those who are going through treatment for cancer, as it brings a small sense of normality back to their lives.

When I was younger a 12 hour game-a-thon was a way of getting warmed up for entire weekends of gaming, but as the years have gone on I naturally find myself with less time to play. The fact that I have the opportunity to do something I really enjoy while raising money for a wonderful organisation that has such a positive impact for so many young people is amazing.

Anything you can contribute towards sponsorship would be brilliant and together we can work towards hopefully curing a disease that affects so many people each day. Thanks in advance everyone and hopefully you can tune in on 01/07/22 at 10:00AM to watch me, Asif and Kirsty and action.
