Have you ever thought "wow, I would pay good money to see Paul whacked repeatedly on the head while he's made to wear a vest in front of a crowd of hundreds at a black-tie event"?

Well, you're in luck. Despite logic, advice and general sense, I have signed up to fight in an Ultra White Collar Boxing match on March 28.

All of the money raised will go to Cancer Research UK.

We are all affected by Cancer. I'm not taking part in this to raise awareness and I don't need to share with you how the disease has impacted my family because it is no doubt a similar tale to your own.

I'm doing this for cold, hard cash. Cash so scientific research conducted by CRUK boffins can continue at pace. Cash so the disease can be eradicated in our lifetime. Cash so those living with the disease get the care and support they need.

So, please dig deep, or give what you can. In the words of Bob Geldof – I don't like Mondays. If that doesn't inspire you, then think again about me being legitimately beat around the head while wearing a silk vest in public. It's almost money-can't-buy – except in this case where you actually can!
