Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As most of you will know, despite pledging not to, I've become a bit of a running obsessive over the last few years.
After messing around with 10K's and half-marathons, and being persistently baited by my full marathon running friends, I've decided it's time to go for the big one!
I've certainly never found half marathons easy so it's a daunting prospect to contemplate doing the same distance again.
For this reason, I'm hoping you'll provide me with as much support as possible to help me along the way. This may take the form of comments such as 'You've got no chance!' or 'I'm glad I'm not doing it!' but these will all provide a little extra motivation as the time approaches.
I'm proud to say I was lucky enough to be offered a charity place to help fulfill my ambition of one day completing the London Marathon. I'm sure you'll agree it's a really worthy cause.
Get Kids Going! is a national charity which gives disabled children the chance to play sport. They provide everything from equipment, to trips to take part in sporting events and anything else that can help the children generally enjoy sport.
As a mad-keen sports enthusiast myself, I can't imagine a life without sport so I hope that collectively we can help some less fortunate young people have the chance to do the things we often take for granted.
That's why your backing of me is really important and what will help KEEP PAUL GOING when the blisters and cramps kick in a long way before the finishing line!
All donations are gratefully received and thanks in advance for your support.
Cheers
Paul
First useful tip I've had - It's a marathon, not a sprint.
