Between May and June long-time backpacking partners Paul Huggett & Phil Hazelden along with Phils son Ben will be hiking from John O'Groats in the far north-east of Scotland down to Glasgow in the south-west! 405 miles of some of the wildest and remotest terrain in western Europe!

We'll be walking from east to west along the top of Scotland, joining the Cape Wrath Trail north of Ullapool. Turning southwards, we'll traverse through the majestic splendour of the Highlands, arriving at the coastal town of Fort William after about twenty - three days.

After a couple of rest days we'll be picking up the West Highland Way which will eventually lead us down to Loch Lomond and finally Glasgow, thirty-two days after leaving John O'Groats. Phil and Ben will be continuing on from Glasgow and will eventually arrive at Lands End in Cornwall during August!). There will be no support or back-up, everything we require for our day-to-day survival and well-being will be carried on our backs!!

We'll be walking on behalf of the LoveHopeStrength Foundation, the world's leading rock'n'roll cancer charity! Through concerts, walks (such as ours), and other events, LHS seeks to raise money for the early detection of blood cancer, as well as providing for bone marrow donor registration and quality treatments both here in the UK and abroad.
