Paul's page - raising money so that one day Alzheimer's can be beaten

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024 · 7 April 2024 ·
My Mum was confirmed a couple of years ago as having Alzheimers. Dementia is a disease which almost one million people in the UK sadly suffer from and the number is rising still. It's so cruel as it slowly but surely robs the person you love of the person they were, the person they are and the person they otherwise would have become. It changes lives and the lives of friends and family around them. Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day they find a cure, they will work to create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice. This is why I am running to raise money for them. A cure may be too late for my Mum, but I hope any money I can raise will mean a cure is one step closer for someone else's.
