Story
Well, it's that time of year agian, all the miles run, up hill & down dale in preparation for this one day. 23.9 Miles 4128 Feet of ascent through the finest valley "in the world".
Last year it took me 4H52 to complete the course, this year I want to hit sub 4H30. This is my struggle and many people say "wow, you must be crazy". They look at me in disbelief as they cannot imaging completing such a task themselves, but my acheivement is nothing when put next to a young serviceman or woman who is learning to walk again on false legs after loosing both thier real ones in Afgahnistan. Then to make my effort look really feeble, they decide to climb everest or walk to the north pole with a cheery smile & a can do attitude.
So my four hours of suffering is worth my effort, my sweat, my toil and my time if I can support these outstanding human beings. Will you support me and all the wounded soldiers, sailors and airmen who have given so much by donating to H4H.
Many thanks,
Paul.
