Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In January 2016 my Dad, Roy Heesom, passed away due to heart failure. At 75 years old he was a bundle of fun. The joker in the pack. He moulded me into the man I am today. I will always be grateful to him for the knowledge and the love he instilled in me and the rest of my family.

Pumping Marvellous Foundation helped us understand and come to terms in part to why Dad was taken from us. So I would like to give a little something back to the foundation as way of thanks to them.

On 9th September I, as part of a team, will attempt to kayak and raft 320km and 25 of the toughest Grade 5 White Water Rapids on The Mighty Zambezi River in Zambia & Zimbabwe. This adventure and challenge will take 8 days in searing 40 degree plus temperatures.

The training starts from now as I haven't been in a kayak since I was a Cub Scout ( I'm now 51 years old).

I know Dad would be very proud of what I am trying to achieve.

SO DAD, THIS ONES FOR YOU BUD!!!!
