Story

Paul's Trek to Everest Base Camp

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

During the months of August, September & October 2018, I achieved my personal goal of the "Three Peaks Triple Crown" by completing the National, the Welsh & the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenges.

2019 sees me setting my sights a lot higher, and this time I will be raising money for The Princes Trust as I complete the trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal.

The Princes Trust is a charity that I believe passionately in and a charity that my employers Donald Russell Ltd & Vestey Holdings are supporting and raising money for in 2019.

All donations will go to The Princes Trust, the costs incurred while preparing for and taking part in this trek have and are being funded personally.

In preparation, I will be aiming to complete as many Munro's as I can in the first half of 2019, before boarding a plane to Nepal on the 12th September.

The summit of Everest sits at 8848m/29028ft, with Base Camp sitting at 5364m/17598ft. So it will be the highest I've ever trekked to and without question the hardest trek I've done so far.

All being well I should reach Base Camp just before my 44th Birthday and will hopefully have raised my target of £2000 for The Princes Trust.

I will be updating on my preparations throughout the next few months and then on my progress as much as I can as I make my way up to Base Camp.

If you would like to support me and The Princes Trust, then any donation or sponsorship through the "just giving" page would be greatly appreciated.
