On Sunday 4th July 2021 and on Sunday 5th September 2021 I will be participating in these events.

POINT is an amazing Oldham based charity who supports families like mine, I have 2 lads with learning difficulties, and the support we have had has made a huge difference.  Our journey with POINT began 10 years ago when they supported our eldest who is Dyslexic.  We've recently called on them again to support our youngest son.  They've attended meetings with us, explained everything so its easy to understand and are guiding us through the next steps and are helping us through his recent diagnosis. 

It's now about paying it forward, they've helped my family and now I want to help them to be able to help more families who are just like mine.   We know every penny that I raise from these two events will be used to support families in OLDHAM who have children, like mine, who live with additional learning difficulties/disabilities.  We also know that the pandemic has hugely affected charities too.

I've done the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride before and the Manchester 100 miles cycle, but a long time ago!!  Children and Young People with additional needs face a variety of different challenges every single day, in different situations.  This will be challenging for me but nothing in comparison to what these brilliant kids face EVERY SINGLE DAY!
