The campaign aims to unite Operation Smile's London Marathon Runners, so that together we can reach and support more children born with cleft lip and palate.

Story

My son Eddie was born with a cleft lip. From the moment it was first detected in the scans before he was born, to the operation to repair his lip, the support we have received has been incredible.

It is easy to take for granted the surgical care we have available. But for too many people safe surgery is not an option. Children born with cleft lip and palate in the developing world cannot access the surgery they desperately need for a healthy, happy future. Instead they face difficulty breathing, eating and speaking and are left to live in social isolation due to the stigma surrounding their condition. It costs as little as £150 and takes just 45 minutes to provide this life-changing surgery.Thank you for helping me raise smiles!

We're hosting a spooky spectacular party on Sunday 30th September 2022 to help raise money.

About the campaign

The campaign aims to unite Operation Smile's London Marathon Runners, so that together we can reach and support more children born with cleft lip and palate.

About the charity

Operation Smile provides free cleft surgeries for children around the globe. We train local doctors to give them the expertise to carry out these surgeries long after we have gone. In as little as 45 minutes & for just £150 we can provide surgery that will transform a child’s life forever.
