Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year I suffered a prolapsed disc, which resulted in me using crutches and a lot of heavy medication to numb the pain. I thought I may be on crutches for a very long time or even the possibility of a risky operation to my lower spine. I was frightened, scared about the future and felt alone at times.
Luckily I made a full recovery without surgery and felt I'd been given a new lease of life, so I set about finding a challenge. The first was Mt Elbrus in Russia which was cancelled and replaced with 'Kili'. This challenge will push my physical and mental ability to the limit.
My expereince with my back is nothing compared to those people that St Luke's care for every day. Having seen their support first hand I want the Charity to benefit in some way from my trip.
The target amount a modest £589.50 is just 10p for every metre that I will climb to reach the summit. So if you can spare a few 10p's then please help as every step is another closer to my goal.
Thank you
