Story
During the pandemic I was stuck in front of a laptop all day as COVID-19 communication lead for adult social care. I've always drawn and, with my usual outlets of event promotion at Exeter Phoenix and broadcasting on Phonic FM suspended by the pandemic, I started sketching the plants in my garden as a form of mindfulness which didn't involve looking at screens. The images proved popular on social media and fit well within The Glorious Art House cafe's vibrant floral environment. As a DJ I've also added an ambient soundtrack, with every track being one that I have listened to whilst drawing. The sketches are dedicated to the memory of my Mum who died of cancer when she was 53 and I was 23 - a long time ago now but she would have liked the images. If you like what you see and hear, please donate to local cancer charity Force.
