Story

Recently I attempted to complete the Yorkshire 3 peaks in under 7 hours. Due to a lack of preparation I managed to crawl back to my car completing it in 8.75hrs. The 3 peaks challenge covers a circuit of 25 miles over Yorkshires 3 highest peaks which consist of a total climb of 5500 feet. After last time I told my wife that if I ever decided to do this again she was allowed to beat some sense into me. Anyhow, due to the short term memory of the average male, one slap later here I go again. This time however I had heard about Daniels son Max and with your help I aim trot around Yorkshire in September to raise some more money for his chosen charity.

A short while ago, we received the heartbreaking news from one of our team members, Daniel Rowlandson, that his son Max had been diagnosed with Leukaemia. Max is only two years old but, with Daniel and his mum Jodie, has started his treatment and his battle against the illness.

Leukaemia is the most common form of cancer in children. It is a blood cancer that affects the white blood cells, a vital part of our immune system that fights infection. Around 450 children are diagnosed with leukaemia in the every year. Leukaemia tends to develop in children between the ages of two and four, but children of any age can develop this blood cancer.

I understand that many of you have already kindly donated to this cause but every little goes to make a difference. Please donate anything you can to help. Many thanks
