Reading this I hope you understand the huge task I have in front of me !!

I'm attempting to run a half marathon in September, as most of you are thinking after reading the first few words "he's having a laugh", but let me assure you, I know what most of you are thinking, that I like to have a drink or I'm too lazy to get my derriere into gear or even carry my paunch around 13.1 miles of tough terrain (well Woolwich and Charlton) or even train for such an event but I'm going to have a good crack for a fantastic cause..

A lot of the music on the day will be supplied by local stations, live bands and a few sweaty student bands plotted up along the length of the route as scientists believe running to music lowers your perception and effort which encourages positive thoughts so you feel less pain than the pain that your in already..(we'll see). So come down to the Dome and support me or someone else you may know thats running, but just come for a day out, If you get fed up watching the runners and cheering there are so many other things you can do, You could have a beer or get something to eat, the choices are endless !!.

So on the 27th September 2010 I'll be getting myself motivated while its still dark outside and heading for the 02 Dome to run on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support they improve the lives of people that are affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical and financial support to help push for better cancer care, Cancer affects us all at some stage in our lives, I know it has me, but together with a little support and with a few penny's or really anything that you can spare can help, Macmillan rely on voluntary donations for 99% of their income so they couldn't do what they do without us.
