Story
The Stoop (Twickenham) to Sandy Park (Exter), 200 miles, by bicycle... easy? I'm not so sure!
June 2nd to 4th 2022, a group of ~60 men and women will set off from the Stoop to raise money for the Harlequins foundation and I'm both proud and excited to be one of them.
This will be a challenge (and I expect a lot of fun!), and the causes that foundation supports are all incredible, but for me the most vital is METTLE.
METTLE works with young people to raise their awareness of mental health and give them a strong foundation for life. I have experienced my own struggles and it's taken me too long to be ready to confront them, accept them and deal with them.
I was that person who said to my self "be stronger!", "be tougher!", "man up!". Hopefully with the support of the Harlequins Foundation & METTLE, more young people can grow up with a better awareness of their mental health and the importance of talking before it's too late!
