As some of you will already know my dad, Geoff, successfully beat prostate cancer in 2009. My reason for running The Great North Run is two fold. Firstly to give something back to the charity that helped and continue to support my Dad, but also to have the opportunity to run through the streets of South Sheilds - where my Grandfather was born and raised!

What ever you can spare will make a difference and I certainly haven't got a frightening target!
