This photo was taken within 1 hour of Mandi and I meeting on the 28th February 2004, and as you can see I was never letting her go.

Unfortunately on the 1st November last year that’s exactly what I had to do when my beautiful wife and best friend passed away after suffering an unexpected brain haemorrhage.

If someone had told me when me met that it would be 18 years or nothing I would have taken the 18 years in a heartbeat as they were the best years of my life. I had met the most selfless lady who brought me so much love and happiness. A wonderful mother to our 4 children, a special sister and daughter, a loving friend and a confidant and mentor to so many at 80:20 Procurement. As you can see Mandi lit up a room with her smile but more importantly she lit up the world with her heart.

In the hope of making a difference I have joined the board of the Friends of the Neuro Ward (more to follow later on that one) and as such I will be hoping to raise funds for this wonderful charity by walking with friends and family on June 4th in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk.

The distance will be extremely poignant in that each mile will represent a year of our life together.

In all my years in business I have never reached out to my contacts to ask for their help in this way but would appreciate if you could spare a few pennies so we can help others and make a difference.
