As many of you know, Jenny was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. Although it was a tough journey for her, she is now back to good health and looking great.

During Jenny's treatment we experienced wonderful support from all our friends and family and Jenny received fantastic treatment from the staff at Bristol Haemotology and Oncology centre. From the young doctor who looked after Jenny at 2:00am, after she contracted an infection on her first Chemo session, to the plastic surgeon who sat in the corridor all night after Jenny's reconstructive surgery until he was certain that any danger of complications had passed. The people who treated Jenny really did go "Above and Beyond" the call of duty.

We also became aware of many others facing a cancer diagnosis and that the work at BHOC, unfortunately, goes on. As a small way of saying thank you we wanted to raise some money for the Oncology unit through Above and Beyond - the umbrella charity for the Bristol Hospital. All money raised from sponsorship will go to the Oncology centre to provide the little extras that we know can make a huge difference to the experience for patients and staff. I'm hoping to raise £2500 and, to help reach that goal, we will match the first £200 donated.

The Alpe d'Huez Triathlon is a bit mad and I can assure you that I will have to work hard to earn your sponsorship!
