Story
I've been lucky enough to get a place in both the September London to Brighton Cycle Ride and the October Royal Parks Half Marathon thanks to Alzheimer's Society and what a great charity to represent as I look to raise a minimum of £600. https://royalparkhalf.com//
Before you ask, I will not be doing a swimming event in November to make it a triathlon!
Over the last couple of years many of my closest friends have sadly had a relative affected by dementia and so I appreciate how important it is to find a cure and provide support for those that are suffering. Any support you can give me as I put in the miles over the next few months on bike and foot will be greatly appreciated.
How your money could help:
- £5 will pay for 10 copies of the Dementia Guide, a lifeline for people trying to make sense of a diagnosis of dementia.
- £9.90 will begin someone’s Dementia Connect journey by providing the first conversation with one of our telephone based Dementia Advisers.
- £25 means 156 people can access Talking Point any time, day or night. Talking Point lets people living with dementia share and learn from each other in a safe online space.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.
Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
