Story

Hi All,

Those of you who know me will be well aware that I am always up for a challenge, in work or outside of work. In September last year I was in coversation with some of my friends (in the local) when they anouced that they fancied doing a marathon cycle ride next year, clearly looking at me and ignoring the fact that I would either want or indeed be able to cycle any part of Lands End to John O'Groats.

My natural macho feelings where hurt! and I immediately put myself forward telling them that with the proper training anyone can achieve anything.

Well the day of reckoning has come and at a date yet to be finalised (last week of July) I will join the band of 5 and travel from Sandbach where I live to John O'Groats, a track of some 500-550 miles depending on the exact route we take and indeed how many wrong turnings.

The challenge should be completed between 6-7 days on this leg and depends how injured the rest are by the time they reach me in Nantwich!

I have decided on Help for Heroes for my charity, I hope you can support me and I would love to raise a £1000 in the process.

Many thanks in advance for your support.
