THANK YOU EVERYONE!
What a massive amount £697 raised!
I did my best and am very proud (and suprised) by compleating the half marathon in 1hour41min, placing me 1116th out of 17,000!! Couldn't have done it without all the support, thanks again.
Paul :-D
Hello everyone,
If you hadn't heard I will be taking part in the London 'Run to the Beat' Half Marathon the first weekend I get back from the boat this trip, the 25th September.
I hope to raise some money for Ovarian Cancer for two reasons. Firstly for my mum who is doing great in her fight with it but also because it currently gets much less funding than Breast Cancer but currently for women who are affected by there is 1/2 chance of life expectancy so I feel it deserves to have the money I raise!
I am also dedicating my run to my Aunty who died of cancer recently.
Don't feel you have to give much, but anything just to show support will be greatly recieved! but for increased motivation - on the day I will at 25% of whatever you all donate extra on top!
Thanks again,
Paul
(out of the past 15 weeks I have spent 10 of them at work on the boat with only the heli deck the run round... I hope on the day I can keep a straight line :-)
Where the money goes - Ovarian Cancer Action are currently building a new £10million pound dedicated research centre at Imperial College London! A great cause!
