Hey guys!

I am running this 10k in order to raise money for a charity that promotes social mobility. 

Social mobility is about allowing everyone to pursue their ambitions; it is about equality and diversity. 

I do not believe that people should be disadvantaged by their lower socio-economic backgrounds, especially when pursuing their career ambitions. 

Sadly, this is still the case. 

Many do not have the connections or even a family member to give them advice about a career in the City. 

Many are just simply hindered because of their appearance and race. Racially implicit bias is still widely prevalent. 

SEO London is a charity that is aiming to change that. The people it works with already have the talent and the drive, all they need now is mentoring, and exposure to the City. They can then build up their own personal brand and establish their own network to pursue whatever career they wish to. 

I have personally benefited from SEO, and without their support I would not have the level of experience or expertise that I have today. Without SEO London I would never have the career aspirations I have now. 

Social Mobility has never been about giving an unfair advantage to those who are from lower socio-economic backgrounds; it is about levelling the playing field. 

I believe that Social Mobility as a cause has an expiry date, and I believe that SEO is best placed to create a London that values meritocracy over everything else.
