We are lucky enough to have everything we need at this time but understand that our friends may want the chance to offer a gift.  Therefore, we suggest you make a donation to our favourtie charity, the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI).

The RNLI is a charity which provides an invaluable rescue service to anyone using the sea.  They are funded entirely by donations.  A fleet of 309 RNLI Lifeboats cover the British Isles and is manned by incredibly brave volunteer crews who deserve the best equipment to help them save lives at sea.  Their services start on the shore by training sea users, hoping education will prevent incidents.

The cost of the vessles ranges from £31,000 to £2.7m each.  Each crew member needs to be kitted out with about £1,000 of clothing and equipment. The cost of running and maintaining the Lifeboats is £368,000 per day.

This charity is close to our hearts as we know they are there if we need them when we are diving.  We have called upon their services and so know, firsthand, the first class service and care they provide.  They do this voluntarily.
