Story

Myself and a group of fellow BW members are riding from York to Stoke. It promises to be a massive challenge, but great fun and we hope to raise £10,000 for a great cause.

Personally, I haven't owned a bike since I left it chained up outside University over the Christmas break, which was more years ago than I'd like to share.... So it promises to be an intense 8 weeks of training/making excuses not to train with the added problem of living on an enormous hill!

The money we raise will help fund Shelters helpline, which provides vital advice and support to anyone struggling with bad housing and homelessness, 365 days a year. Each call answered by an expert Shelter Adviser can be the difference between someone keeping and losing their home. However, as our country is in the depths of a housing emergency, the demand is overwhelming. Shelter can currently only answer 1 in 3 calls to their helpline. With thousands of people seeking help and another family in England being made homeless every 11 minutes, every donation from Best Western members and their guests makes a difference.Just £10 can answer a call to the Helpline, so your donation really will make a difference.
