We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

On 22 May I will be running the Edinburgh marathon.  Those that have known me for many years will not believe it; in fact those that have known me only a short time will struggle to as well.

I will be raising money for Bowel Cancer UK, my father-in-law died of bowel cancer a few years ago and one of the main challenges for him was obtaining an accurate diagnosis.  Despite Bowel Cancer being the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK; more than 16,250 men and women die from it each year, it is highly treatable if diagnosed early.  When diagnosed at its earliest stage it has a survival rate of more than 90% over five years.

All money raised will help raise awareness of Bowel cancer and while it is too late for Colin (pictured with my boys who he doted on), it will go a long way towards achieving an accurate diagnosis for thousands of others.

Thanks for visiting my page and supporting this worthwhile cause.
