Story
I foolishly mentioned to the fantastic fundraisers at Vista that I may be up for doing something this year and before I know it I’m signed up and in training for the London Big Half marathon which should have taken place on the 4th March. Due to the 'Beast from the East' and 'Storm Emma' I'll now be running the Edinburgh Half Marathon in May instead.
As many of you will know. Vista is the leading local sight loss charity and works in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, to promote eye health to prevent sight loss; reduce the impact of sight loss; and provide support and care for people with sight loss.
Vista supports children and adults with sight loss, providing specialist leisure activities, music therapy and professional rehabilitation support in both the home and the community.
Vista is a great award winning charity working alongside people affected by sight loss and they will use your donation well. More detail about what they do can be accessed at www.vistablind.org.uk
Thank you in anticipation, and now I need to go and bathe my creaky knees.
Best wishes
Paul
