Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As this is my first marathon I have decided to run for charity and raise as much as I can for this amazing charity. It's so sad that this terrible disease effects anyone let alone children. So if I can do my little bit in helping children and the families get support from any money I manage to raise, then I will go through any pain barrier to get the job done. Below are some examples of how donations can be used.
- £10 could pay towards an hour of care from the team around a
family, so that they have the emotional and financial support they need from
Young Lives vs Cancer. - £22 could help pay for a Young Lives vs Cancer Big Bag. Young
Lives vs Cancer Big Bags are given to families when their child is first
diagnosed with cancer. They contain essential items for a hospital stay such as
toiletries, a teddy, a thermal mug, Young Lives vs Cancer information booklets
and much more. The bags help parents prepare for when their child begins
treatment and they’re travelling to and from hospital a lot. - £38 could pay for a family to stay overnight in one of Young Lives vs Cancer’s Homes from Home, providing free self-catering accommodation near to specialist children’s cancer treatment centres, which are often many miles from a family’s own home
