Two years ago we found out that my mum, Isobel and our sister in law, Maria had been diagnosed with Lung and Bowel cancer respectively. This was devastating news and the first time we as a family had been directly affected by this horrible disease

Both had to endure some very difficult times with endless visits to hospital for surgery, chemo or Radiotherapy. Whilst my mum got a reprieve with the cancer being in remission, Maria sadly lot her fight against Advanced Bowel Cancer in recent weeks. 

It broke our heart to watch someone so young and so full of life endure such pain especially when the light on the horizon was slowly fading. Maria has left behind a legacy of great memories, moments of true happiness and laughter, and friends & family who will remember her with remarkable fondness. Maria was simply one of a kind, and we loved her dearly for it



Most people who read this page will know someone who has been affected by Cancer and will know that the only way to fight this disease is to raise awareness in the hope that charitable events such as this go some way to help fund research into treatment that others will benefit from in the future.

On 1st July 2017 we will be joining Nick Goodge, along with other close friends and family to complete the 50km trek known as the Cotswolds Way Challenge. Our aim is to raise in excess of £10,000 between us towards Bowel Cancer UK
